Job Description

Stemettes are inspiring the next generation of females into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) fields by showing them the amazing women already in STEM via a series of panel events, hackathons, exhibitions, and mentoring schemes. They are now looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice to join their team!

Responsibilities

Stemettes are looking for a new team member to provide administrative support across our cohort programmes, events and content platforms. Stemettes have recently launched charity - Stemette Futures - and require someone special to be a part of their powerful team – as they scale, document success, formalise processes and set-up systems.

Responsibilities 

  • Collecting qualitative data for reports and comms; speaking with beneficiaries to document their stories, provide write-up summaries of events from cohort programmes, events and content platforms
  • Scheduling stakeholder meetings, partnership meetings and youth board meetings
  • Helping to implement post-event administrative tasks including communicating with stakeholders and beneficiaries
  • Helping to implement pre-event administrative tasks including communicating with stakeholders and beneficiaries
  • Maintaining & updating internal document processes
  • Managing the main ‘Teams Inbox’; filtering to correct staff members, answering emails, filing
  • Supporting facilitation for events and workshops
  • Support the Stemettes dedication to giving girls, young womxn and non-binary people excellent STEM experiences and helping them make informed career decisions
  • Write content for the Stemettes Zine
  • Provide Social Media support

Qualifications Required

  • You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in maths and English
  • Candidates will require a DBS check if successful

Training Provided

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
