Job Description

We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to provide professional, efficient, and high-quality administrative support to both colleagues and clients. You will work towards a Level 3 Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.


The Apprentice will be responsible for our internal post service as well as assisting, when required, the front of house team in the day-to-day running of the reception area and meeting rooms by working as a collaborative team member.

Duties will include:

  • To assist with our internal post service in line with departmental ‘best practice’ ensuring compliance to relevant policies and procedures
  • To provide first class customer service to our clients and IFA’s, answering incoming calls and directing to the relevant team
  • To open post, distribute and manage incoming recorded/special deliveries
  • Archiving of files
  • Returning deeds & other original documentation to clients
  • Scanning post-completion registrations to the correct file
  • Responsible for all outgoing post including recorded, specials & ordinary post
  • Keeping post room tidy
  • To assist in the main reception area of Equilaw when required

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity to discuss the possibility of a permanent role within the firm, if appropriate for both apprentice and employer.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Skills Required

  • Good IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English.

Training Provided

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
