What will the apprentice be doing?
The experience we offer will get your career off to a great start. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills using specialist software, and take concepts, ideas and designs and make them reality. Tasks include: Being part of the design team, producing conceptual and detailed drawings of building services systems, assisting in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health system calculations and designs for both commercial and residential buildings, as well as trips to construction sites.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend London South Bank University to study a Building Services Engineering degree apprenticeship and gain either a BEng or BSc, as well as your Incorporated Engineer status. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development scheme to support you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviour to achieve your apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to get Chartered status, as well as the chance to study towards a Masters.
