Responsibilities

What you will do in your working day

The Metabolism team is Pharmaron’s global centre of excellence for drug and environmental metabolism. We partner with our clients to provide solutions in characterising a drug candidate’s ADME properties, kinetics, bioavailability and safety, as well as determining the fate of molecules in the environment and identifying the nature of residues in livestock and crops.

The training you will be getting

The successful candidate will be expected to attend yearly summer schools which run for 2 weeks in Bradford in early September to be taught chemistry practical skills. Our candidate will also benefit from hands on experience being part of a research team whilst studying towards a BSc in Chemistry. The resultant four-year programme covers core topics in organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry though distance learning.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

You will be sponsored to study a chemistry degree with Bradford University as well as being paid a salary.  This is a 4-year degree apprenticeship, which will give you a solid background in chemistry as well as the ability to apply your knowledge in areas around the chemical sciences.
