Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

You’ll get to learn new technologies, have an input on key decisions, support the team and be supported in turn, and work with everyone from business people to domain experts. You’ll help us adopt industry data standards, and deliver data management strategies and data transformation routines. You’ll collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. This will include man-aging data, as well as conducting a range of analytical studies. Essentially, you’ll use data to craft views that help us make decisions.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

On our data science apprenticeship, you’ll enjoy plenty of on-the-job experience, with dedicated time to formal learning. This will include core degree activity, as well as access to our own internal learning and development, to help you build technical, business and behavioural competencies.

You’ll have full support from your apprenticeship training provider and the BP HR early career programme team – as well as regular structured feedback on your development.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You’ll have the opportunity to take everything you learn from your studies and apply it directly to the business, which will help you develop your career as a data science professional in a world-leading multi-national organisation. We are committed to providing the guidance and tools to support your continued development and success.
