Job Description

Apex Joinery produce bespoke joinery, kitchens, staircases, windows, doors, worktops, conservatories, and furniture in our large joinery workshop. They have an exciting opportunity for a Joiner Apprentice to join their team.

Responsibilities

The role involves learning to use specialist machinery to produce bespoke items such as kitchens, staircases, windows, doors, worktops, conservatories, and furniture. You will have to complete relevant paperwork and learn to work to time schedules. You will be a key member of a small and friendly team.

You will be working as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Day to day duties could include:

  • Assembling windows, doors and staircases
  • Sanding windows and doors
  • Cutting timber to length
  • Tenoning timber
  • Mortising timber
  • Keeping the workshop tidy

Future Prospects

There is the opportunity for a full-time role once the apprenticeship is completed.

Reality Check

You will experience the challenges of working to deadlines and seeing a job through from start to finish but there are many benefits of learning a valuable skill.

The role will be located in a fully equipped workshop.

Wage will be reviewed with progress. If you are over 18 you will be working 45hr weeks and the wage will reflect this.
