What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

ACA is a great option if you’re looking to become a chartered accountant and work in accountancy and finance. It opens a wealth of opportunities, as you can specialise in specific areas or sectors, or work broadly across multiple industries. You’ll also need to have 450 practical work experience days.

Certificate Level: You’ll be introduced to the essentials of accountancy, finance, and businesses. You’ll learn about double-entry accounting, assurance, business and technology, law, management, and taxation.

Professional Level: This level teaches you how to apply technical knowledge to real-life scenarios. You’ll deepen your knowledge on financial reporting, audit and assurance, tax compliance, finance management, business strategy, and business planning.

Advanced Level: You will give you the skills to understand how accountancy and finance works within businesses. You’ll learn about corporate reporting and strategic business management.

There are three levels including Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional.

Applied Knowledge helps you understand the role of accounting in the business environment, and develop the practical skills and techniques expected of an accountant working in business.
Applied Skills encourages you to develop a broad understanding of the role of accounting in business, and how to interpret financial information.
By studying Strategic Professional, you’ll learn advanced techniques, skills, and the professional ethics required of an accountant or consultant operating at a senior level. Once you’ve successfully passed you can apply to be a full member of ACCA.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As a business passionate about growth and personal development, we have only ever promoted from within.

Currently 3/5 of the most senior team members at Audit Intelligence (AI) started here as interns. There will be opportunity and career progression in both Audit Intelligence and partner company and start-up, Forenzix. Whether it is to climb the ladder in the audit team as the company grows or take your expertise into another department such as the product development team or even the commercial team at AI.

Forenzix being a start-up offers opportunity for an early foot in the door. We also plan to incorporate an accountancy firm in the next two years, to accommodate plans of progression. Future opportunities
within the business are not confined by education, skill or experience at this stage as these are learnt on the job and defined by the character of the individual.
