Job Description

The purpose of this role is to undertake basic plumbing and general labour duties to support qualified plumbers on site.


Duties will include:

  • Carry out relevant trade supporting duties on works as requested to client specifications and Higgins standards
  • Work to allocated times and schedules for the project
  • Work as part of a team and use materials safely
  • Load and unload materials and equipment as directed
  • Follow Health and Safety policy and procedures including the wearing of personal protective equipment when necessary
  • Undertake Health and Safety training as required
  • Undertake such other duties as are commensurate with the role, as may be reasonable required at the initial place of work or at other locations in the Company
  • Cut, bend and join fittings and pipes
  • Install water, heating and drainage systems
  • Service gas, central heating and radiators
  • Find and fix faults

Qualifications Required

Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 2 English and Maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grade C/4).

The apprentice will need to acquire a CSCS Card.

Training Provided

Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Qualification.

Training will be delivered by South Essex College.
