Job Description

Ely Nursery opened their doors offering professional child-care and pre-school education for children between the ages of 3 months to 6 years.

Responsibilities

Ely Nursery pride themselves on having a clear understanding of children's needs. They recognise that the development of a child requires, love, care and happiness. Ely Nursery also strongly believe in helping children in their intellectual development through play.

They nursery are so excited to be adding to their family knit team. They are looking for candidates with passion and compassion for the early years sector. Duties include:

  • To work as a member of the Nursery team, showing initiative and creativity
  • To foster an environment which encourages the children’s all round development and where high standards of care are provided
  • Understand each child as an individual and have a general understanding of childcare and child development
  • Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements looking for progression and continuity
  • Develop positive relationships with parents, staff and outside agencies
  • Assist with the supervision of children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes
  • Assist with planning a programme of activities, suitable for the age range
  • Assist with the creation of a stimulating and attractive classroom environment
  • Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities, including appraisals, etc

Future Prospects

To progress onto a level 3 or become a full time employee.

Training Provided

Dependent on previous qualifications and experience you will either be on an Early Years Practitioner or Early Years Educator qualification.
