Job Description

Moneywize Accountants Ltd is seeking an Assistant Account Apprentice to primarily support the senior accountant. You will have an interest in Accounts Administration and be eager to learn whilst assisting with preparing accounts, running monthly payroll, and preparing VAT submissions.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Double entry bookkeeping and general data entry
  • Vat returns and advice around tax liabilities
  • Tax return preparation, submission to HMRC and tax calculations and generic advice to clients
  • Client set up, office compliance and administrative tasks
  • Liaising with clientele and supporting other staff members
  • Other duties as and when needed

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a small team
  • Computer literate and have the ability to support clientele with general IT queries
  • General administrative skills
  • Confident when talking to people – in person and on the telephone
  • Effective communicator with a proactive, enthusiastic and customer-focused approach
  • Reliable, discrete, and confidential
  • The ability to be forthcoming and offer up solutions
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Has an eye for detail
