Job Description

Opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated individual to begin their career in accounting with duties including, general bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, processing expenses, maintaining sales, purchase ledgers, and preparing VAT returns, etc.

Responsibilities

You will be trained to carry out:

  • Communicating regularly with clients to request their accounting records
  • General bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations, processing expenses
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Invoicing on behalf of clients
  • Managing client bank accounts and processing payments on their behalf
  • Preparing management accounts

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing training and development

Skills Required

  • A good academic record
  • Good attention to detail
  • High level of organisation
  • Any experience in working with financial packages (such as, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is an advantage but not essential

Qualities Required

  • Ambition to gain financial apprenticeship
     

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE grade A* - C/9 - 4 in maths and English or equivalent

  • On completion of this 18-month programme you will have achieved: Level 3 Assistant Accountant
