Job Description

Carrying out routine financial activities and supporting the UKAEA finance department

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

· Assisting with financial processes, including treasury activities, and period end close duties.

· Learning about the finance system and taking part in testing of changes and upgrades

· Identifying and resolving issues for internal customers.

· Progressing on to be responsible for the management accounts for a small area and getting involved with various audits and dealing with fixed assets.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will be expected to attend college once a week.

L3 Assistant Accountant diploma

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is potential for a full time position being made available for the sucessful candidate. The organisation often supports further training.
