Job Description

De Soutter Medical Ltd invites candidates to apply for this exciting opportunity within their team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical, highly motivated individual to join our ambitious, growing Company.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all products are repaired, assembled, processed and inspected in accordance with the company’s manufacturing and quality procedures
  • To advise supervision of any method/design improvements, which would enhance the quality, manufacturing process or performance of the product
  • To maintain proper records of all warranty claims, test results etc. and advise the management of any significant technical problems which may arise from time to time
  • To assist the goods in/despatch departments when workload demands
  • To assist the assembly section when the work load demands
  • To ensure all processes are performed in an efficient manner and within the agreed timescales
  • To ensure all repairs are performed in an efficient manner and customer warranties/service orders are dealt with promptly
  • To fulfil all requirements of your apprenticeship programme
  • To comply at all times with the company’s Health & Safety policy
  • To perform any other duties requested by the management of the company

Future Prospects

Previous apprentices have moved on to supervision, and production engineering roles. Recently completed apprentices are moving on to further their education with Milton Keynes College.

  • Soldering ability
  • Competent using MS Office
  • Good attention to detail

Qualifications Required

Achieved: Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent): Grade 4/C or above in maths, English and Science.
