What will the apprentice be doing?

This Early Years Educator Apprenticeship provides you with extended knowledge of caring for children aged 0-7. As you progress, you’ll explore key topics such as health and well-being, legislation, play and development when caring for children. You’ll also consider your own professional development through reflective practice. As a result, you’ll know how to support healthy lifestyles for children by having an understanding of nutrition, exercise and care routines.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This L3 Apprenticeship to Early Years Educator, will enabel you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to access higher education or enter the workforce as Early Years Educators. This qualification confers the licence to practise as an Early Years Educator. It provides evidance that you have the best Early Years training available.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon achievement of this qualification learners will gain their licence to practise and it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or progress to higher education.
Learners can progress into various job roles in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors such as:
• practitioner in day nurseries
• practitioner in nursery schools
• practitioner in reception classes in primary schools
• pre-school worker
