Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • be part of a team in preschool
  • complete observations on children following the EYFS
  • prepare & do activities with the children
  • keep the area clean & tidy
  • serve & clear away meals
  • play with the children
  • go outside with the children
  • complete training tasks on time
  • be organised
  • be a good communicator

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Educator
  • Training will be day to day at Nursery
  • Monthly meetings with assessor
  • Monthly workshops
  • Daily mentoring
  • Weekly computer time
  • Work in other age groups as required
  • all makes 20% off the job training

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • continue employment as a qulaified Early Years Educator
  • possibility of training to be a team leader at Wellies
  • This qualification gives the ability to manage a Nursery setting
