Job Description

Welder/fabricator required. We are looking for someone to join our team to learn all aspects of metal work, guillotine, press brake, MIG, TIG and MMA. Must have a willingness to learn. Workshop and site work to be expected.


What will the apprentice be doing?

  • You will be expected to carry out tasks to the correct standard from drawings.
  • Setting up welder’s etc correctly to suit each weld.
  • To make sure work area is clean and safe to be working in for you and your colleagues.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading steel.
  • Fitting jobs on site when completed.
  • Filling in timesheets correctly.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Metal Fabricator standard:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
  • Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To be discussed upon completion of the apprenticeship.
