Job Description

We are seeking an apprentice full stack Website Developer to join our creative team of web developers, graphic designers and marketing professionals based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

We are seeking an apprentice full-stack Website Developer to join our creative team of web developers, graphic designers and marketing professionals based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. 

We operate a mixture of working from home and working from the office. However, initially, the role would involve working in the office for training purposes.

You will be working on web design projects using:

  • PHP 
  • CSS 
  • JavaScript 
  • SSH 
  • MySQL 
  • GIT 

Future Prospects

The opportunity to secure a full-time position once the apprenticeship has concluded. Possible further Apprenticeship Training at a higher level.

We operate a mixture of working from home and working from the office. However, initially, the role would involve working in the office for training purposes.

Skills Required

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and timekeeping skills 
  • Strong finishing skills and a keen attention to detail to ensure the websites are of premium quality

Qualities Required

Some experience and knowledge of the following technologies: 

  • PHP
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • SSH
  • MySQL
  • GIT 

You must want to learn to be able to build the code into CMS systems such as WordPress and Magento (1 and 2). 

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 4 x GCSEs grade A-C 9-4 including English and maths (or the equivalent). 

Training Provided

Software Developer Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard:

The successful candidate will undertake a two year nationally recognised qualification through TDM.

This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in a training room once every quarter, working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place at either of our training centres, in Birmingham or Worcester, whichever is more suitable for your location

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of the programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

The modules will include:

  • KM1 Software Developer Methodologies
  • KM2 Software Languages
  • MTA HTML5
