Responsibilities
While working towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standard, you will be trained to undertake the following duties:
- Receiving and unloading deliveries
- Health and safety
- Stock checking
- Security
- Stock rotation
- Stock management
Future Prospects

Qualifications Required
GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and maths would be ideal, but not essential.
If you do not have these then they will be covered in your training programme as Functional Skills.
Training Provided
Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
Throughout the programme, you will learn the following:
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
- Receiving good in
- Assembling orders
- Placing goods into storage
- Operating forklifts and other plant equipment (with suitable and sufficient training)
- Moving and handling goods
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining quality/quantity of stock
- Ordering materials
- Customer service
Training will be provided by Didac in your Depot, and regionally through the Howdens Learning & Development Team
