Job Description

HYDAC are looking for an Apprentice System Engineer to join their team in Witney. Reporting to the Systems Manager you will be part of the Systems team with the principle objective of completing a 3-year engineering apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Attend college and complete all modules on time & to the best of your ability
  • Assist the Systems department with manufacturing & testing of products
  • Keep all equipment in a state of readiness, making sure tools and consumables are available
  • Work within relevant departments as directed to develop an understanding of key processes and procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to all company, legislative, and health & safety policies and procedures.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Company Training Plan & Assessment.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge (1 day per week for 2 years at college)
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (workplace learning and assessment)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills – Maths & English (If required)
  • End Point Assessment to finish the apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Long term role within Hydac with the ability to advance.

Reality Check

The applicant would need to attend college when required, complete exams, and be committed to the Diploma and NVQ courses. Full UK driving licence - able to drive- as would need to travel regularly between sites
