Job Description

BWB Consulting has an opportunity for an Apprentice Supply Chain Assistant to be based in our Nottingham office. You will play an integral and important part within the Environment Group. You will provide support to Team Leaders and other Senior Team Members with Supplier Co-ordination, Supplier performance and projects set ups.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts, selection of suppliers and management of the supply chain for Environment Group services.
  • Assist with the ordering and management of delivery of supplies, equipment and contractors to support site-based assessment and investigation work.
  • Capture supplier performance information, assist with the authorisation of supplier invoices, to provide information to and assist with managing supplier payments.
  • Input into annual reviews of suppliers and assist with maintaining a live supplier directory database, with a focus on geographic spread of suppliers.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment record and organising servicing, maintenance and calibrations as required.
  • Ad hoc dutues to support the role.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Upon completion the Level 3 Business Admin qualifcaiton the apprentice will progress on to Level 4 Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprentiship following the CIPS syllabus.

All learning is done online and will be via day release.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
