Job Description

We are Kier, one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure services. We sustainably deliver infrastructure that is vital to the UK. We are now recruiting for an Apprentice Sign Technician to join our Kier Highways team in Northampton as part of our Nordis Signs business


What will the apprentice be doing?

You can expect to be involved in a wide range of activities including, following processes and instructions to use bespoke equipment/machinery to cut and attach various plates and vinyl’s for signs, as well as picking from stocks against customer orders and ensure they are wrapped and packaged in the appropriate manner. You’ll also monitor the stock levels and complete stock takes, all whilst carrying out regular maintenance checks for all items of equipment used in the process of sign making.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

During your apprenticeship you’ll study towards a Level 3 Signage Technician qualification, giving you all of the practical skills and knowledge to excel in your career.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon completion of the apprenticeship you can use your skills and knowledge to progress into further opportunities within the Nordis team and continue helping to supply internal and external clients with bespoke signs.
