Job Description

Apprentice Sewing Machinist for an Upholstery company based in Burnley. You will undertake your Level 2 Sewing Machinist qualification.


What will the apprentice be doing?

• Working in a busy production environment, you will learn all the key skills associated with the manufacturing of modern and bespoke upholstered furniture.

• The role will involve on the job training given by experienced sewing machine operators, working with fabrics and leathers to sew bespoke pieces of furniture to high quality standards.

• The training provider will visit you on site regularly to take you through the Level 2 apprenticeship programme and functional skills.

• Upon successfully completing your nationally recognised 2-year apprenticeship, you can expect full time employment and further development opportunities within an exciting growing business.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Intermediate Level 2 Sewing Machinist, including NVQ and functional skills, maths and English if required. Work based learning.
