An excellent opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship as a sewing machine engineer.


Duties to include:

  • Carrying out service and repair to sewing machines and over lockers
  • Assembling mechanical products
  • Repairing and modifying mechanical assemblies
  • Using companies software packages
  • Fitting
  • Fault finding

Future Prospects

Full time job on completion of apprenticeship training and the opportunity to progress onto higher qualifications.

Qualifications Required

You must have a minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*-C/9-4 in English Language and maths; ICT would be an advantage.

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Manufacture
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate
  • Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths (as required)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
