Job Description

Brief overview of role Your role in our family will be responsible for leading and developing our kitchen teams at the heart of our sociable pizzerias. If you’ve got a passion for food, experience in a kitchen as well as managing a team, this role is perfect for you. You will be training new pizzaiolos and leading the team to craft perfect pizza.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day management of all kitchen operations and kitchen team development, creation of menu items to company brand standards and adhering to food safety guidelines

Some daily roles will include:

• Setting up the kitchen ready for service
• Preparing, cooking and serving food to standard following the How To cards
• Demonstrating good knowledge of menu items and knowledge of dietary and nutritional 
  requirements
• Making sure food is prepared efficiently and accurately 
• Communicating and managing par levels and shortages with management before and during 
  service
• Making sure all the deliveries are checked into the restaurant to company standard and 
  advising the manager if any problems
• Making sure the correct stock rotation and food dating rules are adhered to
  Recording all food wastage accurately
• Carrying out temperature checks,  and recording information according to company standards
• Creating and managing the cleaning rota to make sure the back of house is kept clean and tidy 
  at all times
• Contribute to the success of the business by carrying out any reasonable request from your 
  manager
• Closing kitchen at end of service
• Responsible for BOH training and development

Skills Required

• Previous experience of training others
• Awareness of managing food costs

Qualities Required

• An interest in food and drink, also in music and people as well 
• A caring nature and desire to give, or experience in giving, exceptional service 
• Willingness to be yourself at work, brining your personality and best self to everything you do

Qualifications Required

• Previous experience in food preparation/catering
• Food Safety experience or qualification
• Health & Safety experience or qualification

Training Provided

We partner with Lifetime Training to deliver our Apprenticeship Level 3 Senior Production Chef which is equivalent to an A Level. You’ll be supported through your programme with a Lifetime Regional Trainer, as well as your Restaurant Manager and gain a nationally recognised qualification to take with you wherever you go
Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
