Job Description

Apprentice Sales & Business Administrator required for a company based within Ashton Under Lyne. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.

Responsibilities

Based at our Ashton-under-Lyne HQ we have an exciting opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic internal salesperson to join our fast-paced sales office and rapidly expanding team.  For the right candidate, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to build a career within a highly successful company, progressing to an external, customer facing sales role subject to completion of the required qualifications, training & performance standards.

Candidates must possess good communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude with an appetite to learn new skills; Office based, but with some exposure to client meetings, we are looking for a reliable individual who is willing to learn new skills and contribute towards the sales effort, playing a fundamental role in developing new and existing business

The successful candidate shall be responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively with the ability to develop relationships at all levels. On the job training shall be provided as well as formal City & Guilds qualifications. 

Purpose of Role:

Providing sales administration support for the sales team, help increase the sales of products and services within existing and potential clients

Responsibilities: 

  • Following up prospective client leads
  • Help with the processing of orders
  • Managing and growing a number of house accounts, as part of a team
  • Respond quickly & courteously to customer inquiries
  • Hitting agreed targets & milestones to increase sales of products and services
  • Liaising with Suppliers where appropriate

Future Prospects

  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship you could progress into full-time employment

Skills Required

  • Ability to work under own initiative & also as part of a team 
  • Ability to meet deadlines & targets
  • Broad range of IT skills with a focus on MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook and CRM systems

Qualities Required

  • Personable with a confident, polite telephone manner and the ability to communicate at all levels

Qualifications Required

  • A range of GCSE’s, including Maths & English grade A-C (8-4)
