Apprentice rural surveyor - Degree (Level 6)

We are looking to recruit a full time Chartered Surveyor (Rural) Degree Apprentice (working with Harper Adams University) starting September 2022. The position will be full time (allowing sufficient time for courses and learning). It will be based at the professional offices located at the Mendip Auction Rooms, between Bath and Wells in Somerset.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will assist in valuation of residential and rural property and a range of property services such as:

• Valuation of Rural/Residential property for secured loan, taxation, estate planning, dispute purposes
• Sales and letting of rural/commercial property including cottages, farms, smallholdings, land, shops, offices & industrial premises
• Compensation claims against Utility Companies
• Preparation of Farm Business Tenancy Agreements, Grazing Licences
• Rural Planning, Basic Payment and Stewardship

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As a Chartered surveyor Degree Apprentice you will study part-time towards BSc Honours in Rural Enterprise and Land Management with apprentices from across England, spending time studying at Harper Adams (8 weeks per year) contextualising your study with practical work experience. What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
