Job Description

Herts Urgent Care (HUC) are looking to take on a motivated and proficient individual as Apprentice Recruitment Business Partner - Within this role you will complete the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Work closely with hiring managers to support clinical resource Lead with specific roles to:

  • Establish rota patterns, recruitment gaps
  • Establish job requirements
  • Agree the recruitment plan including timelines
  • Be familiar with EVP and message matrix when drafting job adverts for internal and external publication using all relevant mediums and platforms, ensuring adverts are kept up to date and information is correct
  • Create and manage recruitment projects on social media platforms
  • Assist hiring managers devise appropriate selection tools and interview questions
  • Conduct any assessments as required including initial screening of candidates ensuring that the identified essential criteria are met in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Prepare CV and correspondence to forward to hiring manager
  • Maintain and update vacancy tracker on weekly basis. Produce any other relevant reports
  • Produce any other candidate correspondence e.g. rejections and on hold emails using standard templates
  • Make suggestion for improvement to the Head of Resourcing and implement changes as required
  • Plan, organise and support the delivery of assessments centres and interviews as required
  • Arrange face to face interviews on behalf of hiring managers including logistics and confirmation with candidates and interviewers

Future Prospects

  • Progression to Recruitment Business Partner or HR/Training Coordinator/Advisor at HUC

Reality Check

  • Driving licence an advantage to visit HUC sites and meet managers and possibly some Out of Hours work on occasion

  • Proficient IT skills, with good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE, or equivalents, grade 9-4/A*-C (maths and English)

Training Provided

HR Professionals in this role are typically either working in a medium to large organisation as part of the HR function delivering front line support to managers and employees, or are a HR Manager in a small organisation. Their work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice; working on a range of HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, from recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records; providing relevant HR information to the business; working with the business on HR changes.

They will typically be taking ownership for providing advice to managers on a wide range of HR issues using company policy and current law, giving guidance that is compliant and where errors could expose the organisation to employment tribunals or legal risk. In a larger organisation they may also have responsibility for managing a small team – this aspect is outside the scope of this apprenticeship and will need to be covered separately by the employer.
