What will the apprentice be doing?
- To report to and follow work instruction from Plant Fitters and supervisor
- To maintain, fault find and repair specialised plant & equipment under supervision and guidance
- To carry out inspections on plant & equipment under supervision

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study for and be expected to pass a level 3 Engineering Technician (mechatronics) Apprenticeship in Plant Maintenance – the apprenticeship will last for 4 years and for the first year of the apprenticeship it will be in college full time. We will support you through your formal apprentice qualification in addition you will follow the Balfour Beatty Enhanced Apprentice programme with a mix of development events and activities.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be able to develop your career further within Balfour Beatty, including the option to move onto the next level of your apprenticeship.
