Job Description

Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop relationship with supply chain partners and clients
  • Assisting the project teams with measurement, take offs and valuations
  • Assist the project team with the preparation of wages/sub-contract payment notices, final accounts and interim valuations
  • Assisting the project teams with the management of costs through the construction phase of the project
  • Assisting to value the cost of any variations during the construction phase
  • Assisting in raising and responding to contractual notices
  • Assisting with tenders and pricing works
  • Involvement in the design and procurement of packages right from tender stage through to final handover of the scheme

Apprenticeship Level - Level 4 HND, with view to progressing onto Level 6 following successful completion of the Level 4.

Skills Required

  • Some construction background/experience but not essential
  • Have a good head for numbers and enjoy working with IT
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner, organised and ability to multi task
  • Enjoy a challenge and have good problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications Required

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A-Levels - BBC; or BTEC Extended Diploma - DMM; or
  • 112 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels or equivalent qualifications: and
  • GCSEs - English and maths grade C/4 or equivalent
  • Applicants without A-Levels will have their qualifications assessed for subject compatibility

Training Provided

Advanced Surveying Technician Standard.

  • Block release to our Stephenson campus, Coalville. (Part of the SMB Group)
  • Functional skills if necessary
  • On-the-job training
  • Off-the-job training
