This is an exciting opportunity to join the Programme Management Team within the Education High Needs SEND Service as an Apprentice Project Support Assistant providing the foundations for your future career.

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will provide proactive project support for the management and delivery of a range of commissioning projects, Norfolk’s local offer and business as usual activity (the routine activity we do); including:

Provide a polite and helpful first point of contact for internal and external customers.

Assist with the review, research and updating of information on the published SEND Local Offer website and associated directory of services.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This post is aligned to the Apprenticeship Standard of Business Administrator – Level 3. It is expected that you would complete the training in 12-18 months and the level of responsibility, complexity of work and pay in this role will increase as your knowledge and skills increases.

You must show commitment to studying and attend all training throughout the apprenticeship, and time and support will be provided for this during working hours.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is a permanent position, and once the postholder has built up the same level of knowledge and is working with as much autonomy as the full role, the grade will move to scale E (£19,554), or upon completion of the apprenticeship training, whichever is sooner.

This role would be a great foundation for career progression within the NCC and the local government sector.
