Artco Ltd are looking to recruit an Apprentice Production Manufacturing Assistant based in Duckinfield.

Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • CNC Mount cutter including saving and loading files
  • Guillotine
  • Mount assembly
  • Double/multiple mounts for fixing prints to mounts (including pasting print to board, taping of prints, use of spray mounts)
  • Produce mounts with inserts
  • Produce HF MDF block prints to an acceptable standard
  • 'V' grooving
  • Foiling
  • Special embellishments
  • Application of resin to finished products
  • Application of different types media to resin e.g glitter, pebbles
  • Work will be carried out  inside the factory and appropriate PPE equipment will be provided
  • There may be opportunities to work in the assembly and canvas areas depending on progression

Skills Required

  • Computer skills required for Mount Cutters
  • Must have good practical ability and a good knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately
  • Able to work to SOPs and QC procedures
  • Able to work on own or as part of a team

No formal qualifications required.

Training Provided

Intermediate level 2 Apprenticeship in Process Manufacturing, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.
