What will the apprentice be doing?
We are Looking for a Production Chef apprentice. You will join our well-established team of chefs who are looking forward to welcoming you into the team. We are an independent privately owned restaurant at the entrance to Springfield's Outlets Spalding. The Kitchen has been in operation for 10 years and is well established.
We are open 7 days a week and shifts would be expected to rotate around those days. We open daily at 11am and close before 9pm of the evenings unless party’s book. We offer Breakfast on a Saturday & Sunday and open from 9.30am on these days. Shifts generally start one hour before service.
- Maintaining excellent standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene.
- Ensuring compliance to procedures, menu specifications and recipes.
- Your role will involve you to
- produce food
- meeting portion controls
- Chopping & prepping food
- Stock rotation
- budgetary constraints.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
A Level 2 commis chef apprenticeship Delivery of functional skills at the appropriate level In house training
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full time, permanent employment at The Kitchen as chef
