Job Description

During this very practical apprenticeship, you will develop skills in a wide range of plant-based engineering applications including servicing, maintenance, and complex machine overhaul and repair. We are looking for Apprentices with a passion for engineering.


Duties will include;

  • Preparation, installation and handover of complex technologically advanced machinery
  • Diagnosis and repair of complex faults in machinery
  • Conducting complex repairs of machinery
  • Compilation of repair proposals, estimates and quotations

  • As a fully qualified Plant Engineer you will have access to further development opportunities within the company

Reality Check

  • This is a very demanding and technical role, requiring a high degree of fitness and the ability to work with complex equipment and data

Skills Required

You should be:

  • Technically minded
  • Able to demonstrate a strong practical interest in Engineering
  • Willing to learn and develop.

Qualities Required

You should be:

  • A good listener and able to follow instructions
  • A team player
  • Willing to work and study hard

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE level 4 or above in English and maths

Training Provided

  • Level 3, Land-Based Service Engineering Technician qualification
  • Functional Skills in English and maths at Level  2

Off the job training will be on a residential basis
