Job Description

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  •  Development Management: to assist and support with a caseload of straightforward planning and related applications and pre application advice enquiries.
  • Policy and Strategy: to undertake research and evidence gathering and analysis to participate in the development of strategic planning policy.
  • Planning Administration: to assist and support the reception,
    validation and administration associated with planning and related
    applications, and undertake back-office elements inherent in the
    processing of applications.

  • Level 4 Town Planning Assistant Apprenticeship

  • Office-based work and site visits

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Possible progression onto higher levels of the course. No commitment can be made for future employment however in the past several apprentices have secured permanent roles when vacancies have arisen within the organisation.
