Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity where you “earn and learn”. This apprenticeship pathway will give you the hands-on experience, knowledge and confidence to lead you into your chosen career. You will be supporting the Executive Assistant in providing an effective and efficient administration service.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

To assist in providing an effective and efficient administration service under the direction of the Executive Assistant and PA to the leader and Chief Executive. 

• Manage the diary and scheduling appointments for the CEO and Leader of the Council.
• Answer phone calls and emails.
• Assist with research on confidential and sensitive matters.
• Draft documents.
• Provide administrative support on projects.
• Raise and process invoices for payment.
• Work as part of a virtual PA team.

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, for which you will be entitled to paid study time to complete. This opportunity will provide you with valuable work experience, new skills and knowledge whilst building your confidence along the way.  The delivery of the apprenticeship by the provider is flexible.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

No commitment can be made for future employment but in the past several apprentices have secured permanent work when vacancies have arisen within the organisation.
