Job Description

The main purpose of a retailer is to assist customers when they purchase products and services, which requires a good understanding of the stock being sold, the variety of ways customers can shop and the ability to process payments. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.


Duties will include:

  • Interacting with customers on a daily basis
  • Merchandising
  • Understanding and meeting customer's needs
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Process payments

Future Prospects

  • As a fully qualified Parts Technician, you will have access to further development opportunities within the company

Reality Check

  • Once qualified, you will have a number of transferrable skills
  • This is a physically demanding role, being active most of the time
  • You may be expected to work Saturday’s on a rota basis

  • Able to listen and follow instructions

  • Able to work in a busy, fast moving environment

Qualifications Required

  • Ideally, you will have, or be predicted to gain, good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths, although these are not essential
  • However, you must be literate and numerate

Training Provided

When successful you will be awarded:

  • Level 2 Retailer Apprenticeship Standard 
  • Functional Skills if required
  • Please note that off the job training is on a residential basis
  • Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the employer
