We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to provide support at our Bury Office. The job is varied and you will have your own wide range of responsibilities. You will be given set tasks, however, the management of them will be at your discretion, and so being able to prioritise will be an important feature of your day to day job.

We are looking for a Business Support Apprentice to provide support at our Bury Office.  The job is varied and you will have your own wide range of responsibilities.  You will be given set tasks, however, the management of them will be at your discretion, and so being able to prioritise will be an important feature of your day to day job.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients within reception and dealing with enquiries efficiently
  • Answering the telephone in a polite manner directing calls and enquiries
  • Post duties – distribute post to fee earners – post franked mail and take post to DX facilities
  • Archiving
  • Filing, faxing and photocopying as required
  • Running Errands
  • Keeping the offices tidy
  • Data entry using excel spreadsheets
  • Inputting sensitive information onto clients records
  • Taking Banking for Accounts Department

  • Progression to Legal Secretary (Our current apprentice is now progressing to this role)

Skills Required

  • Able to use own initiative
  • Knowledge of basic ICT skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to assist where required

Qualifications Required

  • 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above which must include maths and English (or equivalent). The ability to use MS packages, word, excel and outlook

Training Provided

  • Business Administration Level 2 
  • Functional Skills if applicable

This is a work-based qualification although some College attendance may be required for Functional Skills.
