Job Description

Have you considered training to be a Maintenance Multi-Skilled Craftperson? If you enjoy practical work and are good at solving problems this could be an ideal job for you. With an estate that includes some two hundred buildings and half a million square metres of floor space that is maintained and developed by our Estates Office.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

As a maintenance multi-skilled craftperson apprentice, you would be assisting in the maintenance of equipment and services across the estate.

The work activities mainly fall in to two areas; reactive and planned maintenance. Reactive maintenance means responding immediately to equipment and service breakdowns fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement equipment to be installed.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentices will study with Make UK to complete the widely recognised level 3 Engineering Technician standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The Apprenticeship combines theory with work and ‘on the job’ practical experience, which allows you to build experience and competency to become a qualified maintenance engineer.
