Job Description

Apprentice Medical Receptionist / Administration Assistant for a medical centre based in Preston. You will undertake your Level 3 Business Administration qualification.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Job Responsibilities:
• To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
• To work in accordance of written protocols
• Fax and photocopy as requested
• Open and direct incoming mail, frank and post outgoing letters as appropriate

• Receive and direct patients consulting with members of Practice team
• Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
• Be able to cover all reception position as necessary

• Process appointment requests for appointments from patients by telephone and in person for any member of the Practice team
• Deal with visits requests

• Process repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines.
• Scan letters onto patient records
