We are looking to grow our teams by taking on driven and committed individual as Maintenance Apprenticeships at Parkhouse Hub.
As a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice you will form part of a professional on site Hub Maintenance team responsible for maintaining our parcel sortation equipment and associated machinery within our Hubs.
To ensure our machinery and equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest standards we are looking for driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our knowledgeable and experienced team.
Repairing sortation equipment is challenging, hands on work – every day you will encounter a problem to solve but you’ll feel extremely satisfied when the job is done and the machinery is back up and running. With the support of our skilled Engineers and Hub Maintenance Manager you will learn new skills whilst working towards a Level 3 Multi-skilled Mechatronic Maintenance Technician qualification.

Some of the tasks you will be working on include:
- Working on single and three phase systems
- Maintaining and repairing conveyor equipment
- PLC controlled systems
- Mechanical and Electrical repairs
- Preventative maintenance schedules
- Confirming to Health and Safety Regulations
- Appliance Testing
Fedex aims to offer permanent roles to all successful apprentices at the end of their training agreement wherever possible and to supporting continuing professional development.
The first year of training is at MGTS - Mon - Thu 08:00 -16:00, Fri 08:00 -12:00 You will be living away from home in residential accommodation during your first year off the job training at MGTS. The salaries during the 4 years and beyond are as follows: • Year 1 - £13583 • Year 2 - £15449 • Year 3 - £17344 • Year 4 - £21076 • Year 5 - £22969

- Able to demonstrate honesty and reliability
- Commitment and drive to complete the apprenticeship programme
We are seeking applications from candidates who have or are predicted to gain 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent). Grades must be A*-C+ / 9-5 for Maths and A*-C / 9-4 for English, Science and two other subjects.
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence).
- Level 2 Award for Foundation Phase Gateway Assessment.
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
