Job Description

Assist with the day to day running of our three London based mail rooms. You will be required to work across all 3 branches the locations are Paddington, EC4Y 8AX, & W2 1DG. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.


As part of this Apprenticeship you will be enrolled on to the Level 3 Business admin advanced training programme,

You will be supported by your employer and by your training provider whereby you will be given a dedicated Skills Tutor who will visit you on a 4 – 6 weekly basis and deliver a bespoke teaching and learning session as well as coach and give feedback also support you with your evidence collation.

The programme will last around 15-18 months and at the end you will complete an end point assessment.

Department Overview:

  • The Premier Accounts department manages the relationship between Crossflight ltd and any Key Accounts. The main areas covered are Customer Service for Key Accounts, Distributions, Event/ Show management and Offsite Mail Rooms
  • Working between three of our clients prestige Headquarters in London this role of Mailroom Apprentice is paramount in retaining our excellent reputation in managing their mailroom

Key Tasks:

  • To process incoming and outgoing mail
  • To distribute Courier & Mail packages, including desk drops
  • To record all incoming and outgoing courier packages using our in-house computer systems
  • To communicate with customers, suppliers, and retailers via the telephone/email to answer enquires and resolve queries
  • To complete shipping paperwork
  • To assist with other tasks that sit under the mailroom title and responsibilities
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests of the Manager

Full training will be provided for the selected candidate.

  • Distribution of Courier & Mail packages
  • Recording of all incoming and outgoing courier packages using our in-house computer systems
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers, and retailers enquiries via the telephone/email
  • Resolving any customer queries
  • Completion of shipping paperwork

Future Prospects

  • Full time employment within one of the mail rooms

Skills Required

  • Good communications skills (both verbal and written)
  • PC literate including email and data entry

Qualities Required

  • Candidates must be able to work on own their initiative as well as being part of a dynamic team

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE's grade C/4 or above including maths and English

Training Provided

Business admin qualification including Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
