Job Description

We now have an apprenticeship opportunity available for an enthusiastic person who is keen to get started in a career in the fencing and landscaping industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join the well-established business to learn and develop your skills and gain qualifications in landscaping and fencing discipline.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • You will be assisting in the construction of various types of Fencing, Patios, Driveways, Decking, Turfing, and many more. Throughout the course, you will gain a good level of communication skills by being involved in dealing with the suppliers and customers on daily basis.
  • Training will be provided as on-site experience, workshop days, and online college classes.
  • You will gain experience in using various hand tools, and power equipment also you will be introduced to basic skills in safely operating heavy equipment under supervision.
  • During the apprenticeship, you will be challenged with problem-solving and finding the best solutions to complete projects.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • After your endpoint assessment, you will gain Fencing Installer Level 2 qualifications with the Institute Of Apprenticeships provided by MT Training.
  • Training will be provided as on-site experience, workshop days, and online college classes.
  • Training will be provided throughout the week Monday- Friday with half-day online college classes and occasional days at the workshop

Reality Check

The vacancy will involve working outdoors in various weather conditions and Heavy lifting will be sometimes involved
