Responsibilities
A list of your duties as an employee of Cheffingtons include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that refrigeration units and storage areas are kept clean and tidy
- Maintaining and documenting the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer
- Prepare high-quality pizzas, burgers, wings and deserts according to customers’ orders and Cheffington’s recipes
- Maintain a clean workstation at all times
- Be responsible for setting up workstations in the kitchen
- Following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders and attending to any culinary task that may arise
- Understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- Be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job
- Monitoring the temperature of the ovens as well as cooking times
- Supervising food and cooling room temperatures
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage. Monitoring inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed
- Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are clean and sterilised before each use
- Packaging all food accordingly
- Preparing and assembling high-quality meals and food items according to Cheffington’s recipes
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet Cheffington's standards
- Cleaning and sterilising food preparation areas and maintaining the kitchen
- Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders
- Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed

Training Provided
Level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- Work based learning
