Blonde Envy by zigzag are looking to recruit a hairdressing apprentice for one of their salons. Specialising in colouring techniques and cutting, if you're creative with good communication this could be the career for you!

Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Assisting staff within the salon
  • Helping to maintain the appearance of the salon
  • Shampooing and conditioning
  • Drying and styling
  • Covering reception and booking appointments
  • Recommending products and services to clients
  • Attending salon and college training to learn all the skills and gain qualifications required to become a fantastic Hairdresser

Things to consider:

  • This role involves working Saturdays and one late night per week until 8:00pm
  • These are busy salons in various locations
  • Please ensure you are able to travel to the employers location and Milton Keynes College Bletchley Campus
  • This position is suitable for all school leavers and predicted grades will be acceptable

Qualifications Required

Ideally - GCSE's grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).

Predicted grades are acceptable. 

Training Provided

Hairdressing Professional Apprenticeship Standard

  • You will be trained and supported by both your employer and college to demonstrate professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with your role
  • Required college attendance (Bletchley Campus) 
  • Regular visits into the workplace for assessments and observations
  • Functional skills in both math’s and English, if required
  • End point assessment
