Working in the garage and maintenance office undertaking a range of administration duties to ensure smooth running of the department.


General Administration Duties including:

  • Answering telephone
  • Communicating with customers, supplier and our employees
  • Maintaining computer databases
  • Providing administration support for Service Department
  • Filing and organising paperwork
  • Use of email, spreadsheets and wordprocessor
  • Working as part of a small team
  • Photocopying
  • Document scanning
  • Learning to understand the repairing of vehicles and their various parts and serving regimes.
  • Assisting with maintaining vehicle and other asset records.
  • Issuing parts from our stores and keeping records
  • Other administration duties to ensure smooth running of department

Future Prospects

There is potential for permanent employment on completion of your apprenticeship.

Reality Check

  • Free parking for car owner
  • Company is not in the centre of town so a bus, car or lift is required, although it is possible to walk from some areas

Qualifications Required

You should have a good standard of maths & English. Ideally GCSE or equivalent grade 4/C or above.

Customer Service Intermediate level 2 apprenticeship

The employer would consider applicants wishing to study the Business Administrator Advanced level 3 apprenticeship also. 

There may be a possibility to study towards your maths & English qualifications if you have not already achieved GCSE grade 4/C or above dependant on individual circumstances.
