Responsibilities

While working as an Apprentice Front of House Associate at the Burleigh Court Hotel you will also be supported and guided in actively completing your Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship.

Working alongside a passionate and customer focused team to provide a friendly and welcoming guest experience to all resident and non-resident guests. Full in-house training given to allow comprehensive training in all aspects of:

Restaurant service skills:

Setting & serving;

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Afternoon tea
  • Functions

Bar:

  • Correct methods
  • Wine knowledge
  • Bill preparation

Customer Service:

  • Order taking
  • Handling multiple tables
  • Dealing with queries

Reception:

  • Check in
  • Phone queries
  • Customer liaison
  • Check out

Shift patterns to vary throughout the 5 day working week: example 0700 – 1500 / 1300 – 2100 / 1500 – 2300. No split shifts offered. Meals on duty, share of gratuities & parking available.

Future Prospects

There could be possibilities for full time employment as a Front of House Associate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. There could also be the potential to undertake further development opportunities within the team.

You will be assigned a dedicated HIT Training Personal tutor who will be there to assist you in the professional development through your apprenticeship course. You will be set theory modules and assignments throughout the course to support your practical developments.
