Job Description

Apprentice Front of House Assistant for a support of Adult and young carers business based in Accrington. You will undertake your Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Meet and greet customers
• Serving customers and taking cash and card payments
• Assist in the overall running of the café and kitchen
• Basic kitchen and cooking skills including bakery skills and supporting in daily specials and breakfasts
review risk assessments
• Open and close the facility
• Use the community kitchen and garden to create daily specials
• Support in stock rotation and stock levels
• Handling cash including floats and takings at the start and end of the day
• Use of computer systems and applications
• Support in devising and changing menus including seasonal menus
• Working alongside a team of volunteers in running the centre
• Understanding the organisation and supporting the charity in publicising the services and support to customers
• Providing overall support across the community facility when required including in the shop

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Intermediate Level 2 Apprentice Hospitality Team Member qualification, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.
