What will the apprentice be doing?

During your apprenticeship you will learn on-the-job from our exceptional Lounge and Bar team within an exciting, fast paced environment and complete your study in partnership with Next Step Apprenticeships. From serving mid-morning coffee, light bites from The Grill, to our famous Afternoon Tea and show stopping cocktails, you learn not only how to deliver Exceptional Hospitality, but also how to work as part of an award winning team creating an individual, personal experience for our guests.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Dependant on your experience when you join, you’ll study for L2 Hospitality Team Member (specialising in Food & Beverage Service) Apprenticeship. Based at The Grand for 5 days, you’ll be assigned a mentor from Next Step Apprenticeships who will work with you. As well as this you will participate in Hotel Induction - On the job learning - On property Hospitality & Core Module Group sessions - E-learning modules for Health & Safety - Offsite Hospitality Academy Masterclass Workshops & support with functional skills.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After successfully completing your apprenticeship, we aim to offer you a permanent role within the team. Previous apprentices have moved through the roles to secure senior team member positions - we're 100% committed to continue your development progressing to a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor or beyond.
