Job Description

Enthusiastic apprentice wanted to join our team of carpet fitters and floor layers due to our phenomenal success so far this year of trading We are looking to employ a full time apprentice who is approachable, punctual, a good communicator and can take instruction and can carry it out efficiently and enthusiastically.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

The apprentice will learn all aspect of carpet and floor laying, from grippers to underlay to carpets. In all rooms and staircase. 

You will also learn all about the preparation of the subfloor when laying Engineered Wood or Luxury Vinyl Tiles. 

You will also learn how to measure correctly and accuratley so that which ever flooring is chosen will fit perfectly. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend a training centre 3 days per month to learn all the theory side of floor laying and also get involved in some practical work too, the rest of the time you will be onsite training or in the showroom training. 

 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After the 2 year course you will have achieved a Level 2 Floor Layers certificate you will be a Qualified Carpet Fitter/ Floor Layer
