Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, fault-find and correct electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical products from drawings and standard operations and/or using knowledge and best practice
- To carry out calibrations and adjustments on products to required processes and standards
- To fault find and repair customers products following Norbar's repairs processes
- To use relevant instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, data loggers etc. to perform tasks above
- To liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers to provide technical support
- To raise issues and suggestions for improvement with the appropriate person or department. Be involved in implementing improvements
- To inform relevant persons of issues with works order dates and times, proposing resolutions or relevant changes required
- To carry out day to day maintenance of equipment used in special products and other Norbar processes or departments
- To assist design engineers and other relevant staff in the design and development of new and current product
- To participate in cross functional project teams
Future Prospects
The successful candidate could go down a number of career paths leading to a mechanical type role as a CNC Skilled Machinist which could lead to more technical roles longer term.

Qualifications Required
A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade 5/C+ and above including English, Science and maths.
Training Provided
- Engineering Technician Level 3
- Delivery of In-House Competency Training Plan (Skills)
- Delivery of Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) at College (Knowledge)
- Level 2 Functional Skills (if not exempt)
